Welcome to 317 Art Collaborative!

We are a Non Profit Organization housing a group of working artists from the Rockford area. We occupy a 100-year-old historic landmark building in downtown Rockford, Illinois. We are an innovative contemporary art gallery and working artists studios.
We hold classes for all ages, are a live music venue and host multi-disciplinary community events.

Our mission is to make arts & art education accessible to all members of our community!

Framed:Composition in Film & Art

Have you ever been watching a movie and thought, "That scene looks like a painting?"

So have we! The rules of good composition carry through film as much as they do visual art. For this exhibit, we asked the artists to pick some of their favorite and most iconic scenes from film or television and recreate them in their own unique styles.
