We are a Non Profit Organization housing a group of working artists from the Rockford area. We occupy a 100-year-old historic landmark building in downtown Rockford, Illinois. We are an innovative contemporary art gallery and working artists studios.
We hold classes for all ages, are a live music venue and host multi-disciplinary community events.
Our mission is to make arts & art education accessible to all members of our community!

Internationally known Artist & Musician
Jon Langford returns to Rockford this Friday, August 2nd, 5-10pm.
Welsh rabble-rouser, painter extraordinaire, punk rock pioneer: Jon Langford is a prolific and well-respected visual artist whose cutting edge instincts and unparalleled draftsmanship come together in a painting style that is distinctive, engaging, and challenging. Langford is from Wales but has lived in Chicago since the early 1990's. He is a founding member of the Mekons, The 3 Jon’s, The Waco Brothers and numerous other musical iterations. An accomplished and prolific visual artist, Jon exhibits all over the country including Yard Dog In Austin and Le Luz de Jesus in Los Angeles, as well as numerous venues in Chicago and beyond the US. This will be Jon’s 2nd solo show at 317.
In addition to the visual art, Jon and his band mates, The Fancy Men including members of The Waco Brothers, will perform LIVE at 8pm outside of 317 for FREE due to a generous grant from the Rockford Area Arts Council!
